You can experience the embodied wisdom of your Whole Self.
IFS and somatic therapy can help you get into relationship with your inner world of parts to heal the roots of complex trauma and addiction, honor your neurodivergence and processing style, and cultivate fulfilling relationships.
What is IFS and how can it help?
01
IFS is a holistic therapy that helps you get to know and be present with your inner experience from a space of loving presence that we call Self.
02
IFS is based on the premise that through understanding, supporting, and integrating parts of your history and personality, you can heal and experience the wisdom of your whole self.
03
IFS can help you access your embodied wisdom, heal relational wounds, and express your hidden gifts to live a more connected, meaningful life.
"You can become your own healer -- the special person your vulnerable parts have been waiting for." -Richard Schwartz
Who is this for?
You want to heal your trauma and relationship issues from the root and your story has layers that deserve the integrity of deep listening. You may have come from a family system with complex dynamics, experienced relationally painful events like parentification, domestic violence, or traumatic loss, and have a neurological profile that impacts how you see the world and assemble emotion such as ADHD, autism, sensitivity, creativity, or giftedness. You're dedicated to understanding yourself with holistic therapies like IFS, breaking cycles, and living in the courageous spirit of post-traumatic growth. I am the right counselor for you if:
You’re a fellow helping professional who needs to fill the cup from which you pour into others. You want to clarify your purpose with a therapist who deeply respects and understands the complexity of the work you do. You know that your relationship to you affects the relationships you show up for, and you want to deepen this inner relationship to serve others.
You’re in long-term addiction recovery and want to deepen your understanding of your addictive patterns, explore what’s beneath the addiction, and experience a model beyond the traditional 12-step paradigm from someone who truly gets it and lives their recovery. You’re dedicated to your sobriety but some parts of you don’t resonate anymore with what used to keep you sober. You want depth, accountability, and a richer understanding of yourself.
You’re a mother or parent who is interested in breaking intergenerational cycles of trauma and giving your children a childhood they won’t have to heal from. Your children trigger your attachment wounds and you want to responsibly tend to what arises in the parent-child dynamic and daily acts of nurture without giving your children baggage they have to unpack later.
You’re neurodivergent and want support for understanding the way that you think, process, and relate to life. You thrive with the right mentor or listener: when someone really gets you, you sink deeply into yourself and emerge with powerful insights and a renewed sense of connection to others. All too often, you have been misunderstood or pathologized for the way that you think and this has burned you out on therapy. You need someone to help you unpack demand sensitivity, decision fatigue, or pattern recognition without directives and interpretations.
You’re a parentified adult child who grew up concerned about meeting your family’s needs while your emotional world suffered. Your parents were mentally unstable, addicted, or emotionally neglectful and you’re aware that your attachment needs were never met as a child. You notice how this impacts your relationships today and I’d like to heal these wounds to have more fulfilling relationships.
I help you become who you needed when you were younger and heal the roots of complex trauma and parentification.
